Why A Vegan Diet Can Lead To Weight Loss

By eliminating animal products for your body you’ll lower your risk of getting a heart attack, cancer, osteoporosis and so many other things. But there’s another reason to be vegan other than the health benefits. A vegan diet also leads to weight loss.

Meat has saturated fats that stay in your body and give you a flabby stomach. That should be the least of your worries, since they can also kill you. Meat and dairy eaters have a 50% chance of getting a heart attack. Vegetarians are only going to get a heart attack 11% of the time. But vegans you ask? A measly 4% chance of getting a heart attack.

We know that protein gives you energy, and protein is found in animal flesh. But protein is also found in plants, and it’s a better source of protein. There is zero cholesterol in plant protein. You can only get high cholesterol if you consume animal products.

You can get protein by eating cereals and grains, vegetables, nuts and soy products. Soy protein in particular is a complete protein because it contains all the essential amino acids. Meats may also give you protein, but plant based proteins also provide you with fiber, antioxidants, vitamins and minerals. They do this all while reducing the risk of heart disease and while lowering your blood pressure.

So you can get all the energy you need by eating plant proteins all while avoiding the saturated fat that not only increase your weight but your chances of getting heart disease.
